Windsor police are looking for anyone who may be able to help identify a suspect in a violent hold-up earlier this week.
Officers were called to an armed robbery at a business on Wyandotte Street East near Hall Avenue at about 8 p.m. on Sunday. They learned that a man entered the store, threatened an employee, and demanded cash.
When the employee resisted, the suspect pulled a knife and pointed it, before leaving the store empty-handed. No one was hurt.
Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit have released images of the suspect obtained from the store's security cameras.
The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, 20 to 25 years old, with dark hair and a slim build. He was wearing prescription eyeglasses, a short-sleeve Adidas jersey, and black pants.
He will likely face charges of armed robbery and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
Anyone with information on the man's identity should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
