The City of Windsor invites residents and visitors to come ring in the new year at the new ice skating rink at City Hall Square.
The family-friendly event starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and goes until 9 p.m.
"The new City Hall Ice Rink and gathering space is a shining example of investing in lasting amenities, assets, and public spaces where we can showcase Windsor's talent, celebrate its stories, shape its future, and bring residents together to celebrate," said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. "This renewal of City Hall Square is having positive impacts on economic development, neighbourhood revitalization, tourism and hospitality, community groups and artists, residents and visitors in the City of Windsor."
Highlights of the evening include a DJ, food trucks, free hot chocolate and skating.
Those who don't have skates can borrow them from All Saints' Anglican Church in City Hall Square.
Tim Hortons will supply the hot chocolate.
Both Tim Hortons and Adventure Bay Family Water Park will have giveaways.
