Environment Canada has updated its forecast for Windsor and Essex County warning of very strong winds across the region, some reaching gusts of 90 km/h.
Strong southwesterly winds will develop Monday morning as a cold front passes through the region in the afternoon.
The wind should ease off Monday evening.
Environment Canada issued a yellow alert, which means some damage is possible from the wind. It also said its confidence in the forecast was high.
"Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches, or soft shelters is possible. Some property damage is possible," said the alert.
