Careless driving charge laid after Lakeshore collision

A 22-year-old man has been charged following a weekend crash that shut down County Road 42 in Belle River.

Essex County OPP were called to Road 42 at County Road 22 shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday for a collision involving an SUV and a pickup truck.

Two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

OPP Constable Chris Ciliska told WindsorNewsToday.ca that the area was closed for about 90 minutes on Saturday night before reopening.

A Belle River man has been charged with careless driving.
