Police nab suspect in Windsor vandalism spree

Following a vandalism spree in Windsor that caused $37,000 in damage, police have arrested a 32-year-old man.

The vandalism targeted homes, vehicles, and businesses, and involved a projectile that was thrown through windows. All of the incidents were between December 26 and January 26. In several cases, investigators found a white marble or silver pellet at the scene.

It happened again on Monday night on Tecumseh Road East between Princess Avenue and Westminster Boulevard. Around 8:30 p.m., the front window of a business was shattered by a projectile.

That time, officers found several white and metallic pellets and a slingshot.

The suspect was arrested soon after and now faces four counts of mischief exceeding $5,000, two counts of mischief not exceeding $5,000, and six counts of possession of a weapon for committing an offence.
