Windsor residents and business owners will soon see their interim property tax bills.
The City has mailed out the interim invoices for 2026.
"Your Interim billing amount is set at 50 per cent of your property taxes paid in 2025," read a release from the City. "Any changes resulting from MPAC assessment updates will also be reflected on your tax bill. '2026 Interim Tax Cap Adjustment' reflects any adjustment necessary to meet the 50 per cent limitation. Final 2026 property tax bills will be mailed in June."
Due dates for regular payments are set at February 18, March 18, and April 15. Payments may be made at an approved financial institution, via telephone or online banking, by mail with cheque only, or by using the dropbox on the first floor of 350 City Hall Square West.
If you do not receive your bill by Friday, contact the City by calling 311 or emailing propertytax@citywindsor.ca. Failure to receive a bill does not mean that payment is not due.
If you're having difficulty paying your property tax bill, the City has offered low-cost alternatives through local banks or credit unions. Complete information on those programs can be found on the City's official website.
