Police arrest one on "Wanted in Windsor" list and seek another

Windsor Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman who is on the service's "Wanted in Windsor" list and are looking for a man wanted in a sexual assault.

Ava Papadopulos is accused of using stolen credit cards to buy more than $11,000 in gift cards at stores across the city.

She was arrested on Saturday by members of the Windsor Police Problem-Oriented Policing Unit at a business on Walker Road.

She's charged with fraud over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, using a stolen credit card, forgery of a credit card and identity fraud. The charges have not been proven in court.

Meanwhile, police are asking the public for help locating another suspect on the list, 28-year-old Preetkumar Shah.

Shah is alleged to have taken an underage girl home, where she was sexually assaulted. He was arrested and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age, but has failed to show up in court. Police say his whereabouts are unknown.

Shah is described as an East Indian man, approximately 5'6" tall, with a medium complexion, medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

The Windsor Police "Wanted in Windsor" list spotlights offenders currently evading arrest. Investigators hope to generate new leads in their investigations by bringing these cases to the public's attention.
