A Lakeshore man found out the hard way that it's still drunk driving if you're on a golf cart.
Early Sunday morning, the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a golf cart on Oakwood Avenue at Rourke Line in Lakeshore.
A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, the Highway Traffic Act, and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
In addition to impaired driving charges, the man is also charged with operating an unsafe vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Now his driver's licence is suspended for three months, and the golf cart was impounded for a week.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old Kingsville man also faces impaired driving charges after police pulled him over Sunday night near the ferry docks in Leamington. He also won't be allowed to drive for 90 days.
