LaSalle to collect storm-damaged branches next week

The Town of LaSalle has joined others in Windsor-Essex in helping residents clean up after this past weekend's wild weather.

Starting on Tuesday, July 14, the Town will begin collecting branches that were damaged in Friday's storm, which produced torrential downpours and high wind gusts.

"LaSalle residents can bring tree branches to the curb or edge of the road without blocking the road, driveway, or sidewalk," read a statement from the Town. "Limbs from privately owned trees that are too large to bring to the curb will be the responsibility of the resident to have removed from their property."

Once collected, the branches will be put through wood chippers, so there will be no yard waste bags.

Requests to collect branches may take a few days to be processed, depending on demand.

Residents must register for pickup by filling out a request form online. Use the option "Issue/Request Type of Roads".
