ERCA rolls out WE Conservation Challenge

With just a few weeks left before the kids go back to school, the Essex Region Conservation Authority is launching its WE Conservation Challenge.

The concept is simple. Residents are invited to download the WE Conservation Challenge checklist from its website before visiting one of the region's conservation areas and see how many late-summer signs you can spot.

"As the pace of life begins to shift toward fall, we're inviting families to challenge themselves to enjoy the WE Conservation Challenge," said ERCA's Director of Communications Danielle Stuebing. "Whether you're hiking a trail, visiting a marsh lookout, packing a picnic, or simply watching the sunset, every outing is a chance to create lasting memories outdoors."

Once all the items on the checklist are complete, residents can fill out a ballot for a chance to win a Seasonal Pass.

The challenge ends on Labour Day, and the winner will be drawn at 4 p.m. on September 8.
