A blue chair circulating in the community invites residents to send a message to youth on belonging as part of the Windsor Project.
The messages will become part of a documentary that will be shown prior to the Arts Collective Theatre's performance of Dear Evan Hansen coming to the Capitol Theatre in October.
"The community is going to come together, and we're going to create this amazing documentary video that is going to highlight our community giving words of encouragement to our youth and to everyone before the show. They are going to see themselves as part of the show and part of the message that goes on to all of Windsor-Essex," said Chris Rabideau Artistic Director for the Arts Collective Theatre.
Organizations, businesses or event organizers can request the chair to be brought to their space to be a part of the conversation through the Windsor Project website.
"People are coming up and giving really awesome videos and words of encouragement and I've been so surprised. It's all walks of life that want to do it because people have something to say, they have a message and they want to help people, sometimes they just don't know how," said Rabideau.
Tickets for Dear Evan Hansen can be purchased through the Capitol Theatre box office.
