Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting intermittent 9-1-1 outages across the province.
The issue is being investigated and the OPP is working with service providers to expedite restoration of the emergency telephone system.
The public is being urged to call the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122, which remains fully operational, if they require emergency services and 9-1-1 is unavailable.
Police emphasize that members of the public should not call 9-1-1 to test the line or request updates regarding the outage.
OPP officers continue to respond to calls for service, despite the temporary outage, and further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
