The Municipality of Lakeshore will offer residents more opportunities to engage with staff.
Lakeshore's Public Service Unit will now be available seven days a week, with in-person service based at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre and by phone.
"Increasing access to Lakeshore’s dedicated frontline service team gives residents greater flexibility to engage with the municipality," said Mayor Tracey Bailey. "We know that our residents lead incredibly busy lives, and this change will ensure they can contact Lakeshore when it is most convenient for them."
Staff will be on hand to pass along inquiries from residents to Municipality staff, as well as answer questions concerning tax and water bills, garbage and recycling collection, damaged roads, and other issues.
The seven-day-a-week service is being offered at no additional cost to the taxpayer, and it is part of the Municipality's four-year strategic objective plan, approved by Lakeshore Council in 2022.
