Windsor Mayoral candidate Fred Francis says he has a plan to improve neighbourhood safety.
If elected, Francis said he'll put more police patrols in all Windsor neighbourhoods, implement a plan to install street lighting on all city streets, and strengthen by-law enforcement.
Francis indicated he'd like to conduct a comprehensive review of police patrol coverage, staffing, and response times for each neighbourhood.
"It's a matter of equal policing across the city and ensuring that traffic enforcement, patrolling and investigation is done in a core way that supports all the different wards, all the different neighbourhoods," said Francis.
As part of neighbourhood improvement, Francis said he'll give each councillor $25,000 a year in ward funds and expand and connect multipurpose trails throughout the city.
Francis' full plan for improving neighbourhood safety is available on his website.
