When officers tried to stop him on Bernard, the teen threw a pylon at them and ran off on foot.
Police caught up to the teen after a short chase and arrested him.
A check of the minibike revealed that it was gas-powered and classified as a motorcycle under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
Therefore, the teen is now charged with driving without a licence or insurance, driving without a valid permit, and failure to stop for police.
The minibike was impounded for 14 days.
