The City of Windsor is getting another cheque from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting Caesars Windsor.
The payment for the second quarter of 2027 is $2,416,354.
"Caesars Windsor is a vital part of our local economy, supporting good jobs, attracting visitors, and generating revenue that is reinvested right here in Windsor," said Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Andrew Dowie.
So far this fiscal year, which stretches from April 1 to March 31, 2027, the city has received $5,618,878 to use towards programs and services.
Since gambling came to Windsor in 1994, the city has raked in $146,249,146.
The payments are based on a formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement and are consistently applied across all land-based casino sites in Ontario.
More than $2.4-billion has been distributed to host municipalities since 1994.
