Summer seems to be slipping away, as the Civic Holiday has already arrived.
There will be closures across the municipality because of the long weekend.
Municipal offices and most services will be closed Monday. This includes Fleet, Housing, Employment and Social Services, and the administrative offices for Public Works and Emergency Services.
The Public Utilities Commission and Entegrus will also be out of service on Monday.
Provincial services like the Provincial Offences Court and the Service Ontario locations in Chatham and Dresden will also be shut.
CK Public Health will be closed, though in the case of an emergency after hours services are available by calling 519-352-7270 and following the phone prompts. The Public Health Lab won't be accepting well water samples from 11 a.m. on Friday until 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
There will be altered services at both Chatham-Kent Health Alliance locations.
Some outpatient diagnostic tests will take place during the statutory holiday. If you have a scheduled appointment, you are advised to go. Hemodialysis Care will be open on Monday and so will hospital Emergency Departments.
Dropping off garbage or yard waste won't be an issue on Monday, as all depots will be open.
Curbside garbage and recycling pickup won't be happening and will be delayed by one day next week.
Municipal indoor and outdoor pools will be open on the holiday, as will the Blenheim and Thames Campus Arenas. All other arenas will be shut.
Libraries, museums, theatres, and galleries will be closed. The Chatham Cultural Centre will be closed to the public on Monday, but it will be open for campers registered for the A-musing Summer Camp - Best of CK Museum Camp Edition.
Buses won't be available on the holiday Monday as Ride CK Transit services won't be operating.
