The Gateway Centre for Excellence in Rural Health will hold the latest in its line of virtual lecture series on May 6.
From 12-1 p.m. that day, attendees on the virtual lecture will learn about One Health.
According to a media release from the Gateway Centre, the University of Guelph refers to One Health as "the collaborative effort of multiple disciplines working together on our planet’s most complex animal, human, and environmental health problems."
The lecture will a wide view of what One Health is and how the One Health approach is "vital to promote well-being and reduce health risks from the environment, animals, and human activity," according to the media release.
Guest speakers will include Dr. Wayne Caldwell, Professor Emeritus in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Department at the University of Guelph; Dr. Quinn Webber, assistant professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph; Chris Lee, advocate and work volunteer from the Goderich to Guelph (G2G) rail trail association; And Nathan Schoelier, Stewardship & Conservation Lands Manager at the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.
