A fashionable fundraiser will return this weekend as volunteers, dressed like Helen Roper, will wash cars in support of the Women's Interval Home of Sarnia Lambton.
The annual Mrs. Roper's Charity Car Wash will be held on Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Ex-Servicemen's Club in Point Edward.
Attendees can have their cars washed for $5 while enjoying live music.
Hot dogs and hamburgers will also be available to buy.
Volunteers will be sporting curly wigs and colourful kaftans in honour of Helen Roper, a character from the popular 70s sitcom Three's Company and The Ropers.
The first Mrs. Roper's Charity Car Wash, organized by the Roper’s Romp Sarnia-Lambton chapter, was held last year.
In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, May 31.
