OPP searching for suspect in wind turbine break and enter

Lambton OPP are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect after someone broke into a wind turbine in Lambton Shores.

Officers were called to the turbine on Thomson Line near Rawlings Road, at midnight on July 3, for a report of a break and enter.

An investigation found that someone had entered the turbine earlier that night and caused damage to the door.

Police are looking to identify those involved.

OPP said the consequences of damaging wind turbines can go well beyond the financial impact.

Individuals can be exposed to the risk of electric shock, fire, serious injury, and death.
