Two people are facing several drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop in Brooke-Alvinston.
Lambton OPP said a vehicle was stopped on Walnut Street near Lorne Street, shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7.
Following an investigation, OPP charged a 34-year-old Warwick Township man and a 46-year-old Bayham woman with the following:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
-Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - buprenorphine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone (Percocet tablets)
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- hydromorphone
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - oxycodone
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
The Warwick resident was also charged with five counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Lambton OPP did not specify the quantity of drugs seized or the estimated street value.
The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
