Tom Scott has officially withdrawn from the mayoral race in Brooke-Alvinston.
In an email to Sarnia News Today, Clerk-Administrator Janet Denkers confirmed she has received formal notification from the candidate terminating his campaign.
Since his withdrawal came after the deadline, Scott's name will still appear on the ballot in the October 26 municipal election.
Three people are still competing to lead municipal council, current Councillor Don McCabe, James Armstrong and Marcus Deloughery.
David Ferguson, who has served as mayor since 2018, did not seek re-election.
