LaSalle police are hoping someone in the community can help identify three people suspected of passing "funny money."
Few details have been released, but the three individuals are suspected of using counterfeit money to pay for goods in at least two separate incidents.
Security camera images of the suspects have been released, and the public is asked to take a look.
This comes after LaSalle police issued a warning last week about counterfeit $100 notes being circulated in the area.
Police are urging businesses to check the authenticity of any $100 bills before accepting them as payment.
Anyone who can identify the people in the images above or has additional information should call the LaSalle police at (519) 969-5210. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
LaSalle police have invited residents to participate in a counterfeit detection class on Wednesday night. A fraud specialist from Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) will show some tips and tricks on identifying counterfeit currency. The session begins at 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Vollmer Complex.
