A major sewer reconstruction project gets underway in LaSalle next Tuesday, and drivers who use Front Road will need to make some adjustments to their routes.
Front Road from Boismier Avenue to Reaume Road will be torn up, and major traffic delays are expected.
Traffic will be reduced from four lanes to just two, and turning restrictions will be in place.
Starting on Monday, just one lane will be open on Front Road from Lafferty Avenue to Boismier, and the intersections of Front Road with Maple Avenue, Kenwood Avenue, Delaware Avenue, Sacred Heart Drive, and Boismier Avenue will be closed.
Access to the businesses along that corridor will remain open, but there may be temporary closures from time to time.
The project is expected to take two months, and during that time, the town is installing new underground stormwater pipes, storm chambers and manholes, and catch basins.
The town also warns drivers that more work near Reaume Road will start in mid-March.
