OPP investigate copper, tool theft in Essex

The Ontario Provincial Police need help after someone stole copper wire and tools from an industrial yard in Essex.

They were called to the yard on Pinkerton Road on February 22, where someone stole $1,500 worth of copper wire. Police believe it happened between 9 p.m. the night before and 7 a.m. that morning.

The thieves also pried open a trailer and took tools.

Police got security camera footage from the site, and the OPP Community Street Crime Unit is hoping someone in the public will recognize the suspects.
