Windsor police are looking for three suspects after a shot was fired during a home invasion early Monday morning.
Police report officers were called to a home on Radisson Court in South Windsor around 12:30 a.m.
Investigators were told three masked men forced their way into the home. The suspects pointed their firearms at the residents and demanded money and other possessions. One of the victims was dragged by their hair when they tried to escape.
One gunshot was fired during the incident.
Police say the victims were forced to open their safe and a significant amount of cash, jewellery, and two cellphones were stolen. The suspects took off in a stolen 1973 red Ford Mustang.
The vehicle was found on Tecumseh Road near Ouellette Avenue. A shotgun and some cash were also recovered.
The first suspect is described as a White man around 6'2" tall. He was wearing a red sweater, black pants, a black cross-body bag, and a facemask at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as a White man around 5'10" tall. He was wearing a black ski mask and was armed with a black handgun.
The last suspect is described as a White man, around 25 to 30 years old. He was wearing a black ski mask. He is believed to be the driver of the vehicle.
Investigators are asking residents in the area to check their surveillance footage for possible evidence between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. on March 30.
