Man charged with sexually assaulting a Windsor woman twice

Windsor police have arrested a 24-year-old man for the alleged sexual assault of a woman he met on social media.

On Monday, officers with the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit learned that an 18-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted twice by someone she met on a social media platform. The two had been communicating for less than a week.

Investigators say that on Friday, the suspect approached the victim at a business on Tecumseh Road East near the Windsor Assembly Plant, threatened her, forced her into a vehicle, and sexually assaulted her.

Police then said that on Saturday, the suspect used the victim's location on social media to find her in the area of Dougall Avenue near Jackson Park, where he cornered her in a women's washroom and sexually assaulted her again. When another person entered the washroom, he fled.

Members of the OPP-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad arrested Ahmad Khaled Al Ali at a LaSalle house.

He is charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of uttering death threats, choking, forcible confinement, and criminal harassment.

Al Ali was previously charged with a separate incident in December 2025. Those charges, and the ones connected to the latest incident, have not been proven in court.
