Organizers of this year's Hogs for Hospice have found a headliner to take Bret Michaels' spot on Saturday night.
The former Poison frontman won't be performing. Michaels will take a three- or four-week break from his current tour due to an unforeseen medical emergency.
As a result, the alternative rock band +LIVE+ will perform at Seacliff Park.
The Pennsylvania-based band has enjoyed tremendous success, with three albums, "Throwing Copper", "Secret Samadhi", and "The Distance to Here", reaching number one on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.
Their 1995 signature single, "Lightning Crashes", peaked at number three on the Canadian pop chart and at number one on the U.S. Alternative Airplay chart. Two more singles, "Lakini's Juice" and "The Dolphin's Cry", hit number one on RPM's Canadian Alternative chart.
Hogs for Hospice organizers say anyone who bought tickets to see Bret Michaels and doesn't want to go on Saturday can get a refund through the event's Eventbrite page.
