LaSalle police say an Amherstburg man was arrested after he was allegedly found asleep at the wheel.
Officers responded to multiple calls about a vehicle idling at the intersection of Front Road and Laurier Drive at about 2 a.m. on Sunday. They found the driver asleep.
Following an investigation, the 29-year-old man was taken into custody. He is charged with impaired driving and driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood.
The man's licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle is impounded for seven days. He was also charged with two counts of driving while suspended.
The charges have not been proven in court. The man will have an opportunity to respond to the counts at a later date.
