The Downtown Mission is inviting members of the community to this year's Thanksgiving Community Meal.
Dinner will be served at the Mission starting at noon on Thursday. It wraps up at 2 p.m.
"Thanksgiving is a time to come together and make sure everyone in our community knows they have a place at the table," said Executive Director Rukshini Ponniah-Goulin. "For many of the people we serve, these holidays can be an especially difficult and isolating time. This meal is about providing a warm Thanksgiving dinner, but it is also about community, dignity, and connection."
The Downtown Mission regularly serves as many as 200 lunches a day.
It expects up to 300 people at Thursday's dinner.
