The OPP continues to conduct what has been called an active investigation in Leamington.
Officers responded to a stolen vehicle report at around 11 a.m. Thursday on Mersea Road 12.
The car was spotted shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Mersea Road 1, but the driver fled.
The vehicle was found empty in the area of County Road 33 and Antonio Court, which led to an increased presence of police.
One person was located and arrested with no immediate word on charges. A second person is at large.
The police presence in the area was cleared at around 6 p.m., though the investigation is ongoing.
